Jeffrey DOWNING

I have been a technical diver for over 20 years. I was first certified in 1997, and cut my teeth in the Northeast area of the United States, known for its cold water and challenging conditions. In 2003, I became an SDI Dive Instructor, followed by my introduction to technical diving in 2005. I became a CCR diver in 2007 and never looked back, eventually becoming an instructor on the Triton and other units. When that wasn’t enough, I became an Instructor Trainer for SDI/TDI/ERDI/FRTI in 2018.

As a diver, I have had the opportunity to participate in numerous diving expeditions, most all of which were on CCR and led many, many other expeditions. These expeditions were in locations around the world to include, east coast of the U.S., Saint Lawrence Seaway and Nova Scotia in Canada, Indonesia, Thailand, and Egypt. The trips included both shore-based and liveaboard trips.
